General terms and conditions

These General Terms and Conditions of Messe Husum & Congress GmbH & Co. KG, Am Messeplatz 12 – 18, 25813 Husum, Germany (organiser) apply to your online purchase of tickets for events organised by the organiser

By placing your order you agree to the ticket and invoice dispatch by eMail as an electronic invoice according to § 14 Abs. 1 Satz 2 UStG (German VAT Act). You will receive the organiser’s invoice by eMail and the invoice itself as an attachment. The invoice must be stored electronically for at least the statutory retention period, if applicable. In the event of a tax audit, you must submit these electronic documents. The file names of the attachments may be changed, though any change to the invoice content will render the invoice invalid from a tax point of view, so that in this case  both the pre-tax deduction and the operating expenditure will no longer be recognised by the tax office.

Conclusion of contract
The presentation of the products and services on the website does not constitute a legally binding offer by the organiser, but merely a non-binding online catalogue. By clicking the button „order at cost“ you place a binding order. The confirmation of the receipt of your order and the simultaneous acceptance of the order are sent immediately by automated eMail from the organiser. The purchase contract comes into being with this eMail confirmation.

Payment processing
Tickets must be paid for before the event begins by credit card, electronic direct debit or PayPal.

Right of withdrawal, exchange
The order is binding. Tickets are non-returnable / non-ex changeable.

The tickets will be sent to your eMail address in the form of an eTicket. There will be no shipping costs. Please print the eTicket. The size of the printout should not be reduced. Please make sure that the barcode is not damaged. Please have the eTicket ready for scanning at the entry terminals in the entrance area. After scanning, you will receive your personalised admission ticket and thus access to the event. You may be asked to prove your identity.

The sale of tickets and/or eTickets to third parties is prohibited. Admission tickets and/or eTickets for trade visitors/private visitors may only be used by the trade visitor/private visitor for whom the order was placed. In the event of a check by the organiser, trade visitors must prove their identity by presenting an official identity document with a photograph in order to prove that the name on the admission ticket and/or eTicket matches the identity card. In the event of violation of one or more of the above provisions, the tickets and/or eTickets shall lose their validity. After purchasing but before using the ticket, private visitors are entitled to change the name on the eTicket once in the organiser’s ticket shop and to transfer the eTicket to a third party on this basis. In this case, the order is deemed to have been placed for this third party.

Postponement, cancellation or partial cancellation
A postponement, a cancellation or a partial cancellation of the event due to events for which the organiser is not responsible does not cancel the obligation to pay.

Photo/video recordings
Commercial use of private photo/video recordings is not permitted at the event. The instructions of the organisation team must be followed at the event. The house rules of the operator of the exhibition grounds apply.

Subsidiary agreements
Subsidiary agreements do not exist. There are no verbal side agreements. Amendments and supplements to these GTC must be made in writing in order to be effective. This shall also apply to any amendment, supplement or cancellation of this written form clause itself.

Final provisions
Should one or more provisions of these GTC be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The exclusive legal venue for disputes arising from and in connection with these GTC for legal transactions with companies shall be Husum in Germany.

The trade fair is not prepared to participate in dispute settlement proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

The German version of these General Terms and Conditions shall take precedence.
